I hope you are well. I thought I’d write to you today to share my experience in the first CTS session of year 2.
It did not start well. I hopped on the lift in the tower block to get to the 14th floor for my CTS session. It took me about 10 minutes to get there – we stopped in almost every floor from ground to 7th, went back down to – 1, then 1st again and finally 9th, 10th, 11th and 13th. I must have heard the sentence ‘Mind the doors’ 36 times in that space of time. Not fun.
When I finally climbed my way to the top of the building, I realised I was a bit nervous. I knew no one in the class, I had never spoken to this tutor before and had no idea what ‘Writing as Practice’ would actually be like.
We were asked to sit in pairs and to get to know each other for a little while. We were going to write a letter about our most recent aquaintance.
